Fulham - Unearthing a Diamond?

As July 1st fast approaches and a reurn to pre-season training becomes closer by the second, the `Daily Grapevine` continues to thrust, in our direction, the names of possible recruits to bolster our campaigns on both the domestic and European fronts.

The latest such name is that of the Almeria attacking midfield player, Kalu Uche.

Uche is a Nigerian international, twenty-six years of age and according to a leading tabloid, Fulham have offered Almeria £2.2 million for his services.

In his professional career, he` splayed for Wisla Krakow (54 times, 10 goals), FC Bordeaux (24 times, 1 goal) and Almeria (112 times with 23 goals).

At international level, he now has 14 caps having scored twice.

Could Roy have unearhted a diamond?

I saw Almeria play a few times last season, but I can't say I remember him.

i'm open to see how good he is...

With that goals to games ratio he's no better than 7 goals a season assuming he plays in all 38. What kind of diamond are you thinking of?

http://goal.com/en/news/9/england/2009/07/01/1356589/almeria-reject-fulhams-kalu-uche-bid-report They have rejected the bid by Fulham saying they want more money, my opinion to Roy is not to waste his money and go for a player who has experince in top flight footy

Let Almeria keep him, then.
Samboney
Should go for his namesake, Ikechukwu Uche, now he is quality.
AlexFFC
didn't want him anyway! Let him rot in Spain!
Al Billy
If Roy thinks he should bid £2.2M for the lad he's probably worth twice that at least.
Sindbad
an interesting potential signing, I confess I know nothing about the guy. I have absolute trust in Roy though!

Can I splay?
