Fulham - Searching for a Jonas Brother?

Fulham - Searching for a Jonas Brother?

Previously, as our lingering poll suggested (sorry folks) many thought that Obafemi Martins would be the target we`d look at with regards to relegated Newcastle.

Well it now appears that many news agencies have us linked with his team mate, Jonas Gutierrez.

With relegated Newcastle desperate to reduce their huge wage bill, it is inevitable that various names will be linked with various clubs, however, this rumour has one little weakness.

The root source of it implies that Fulham want Gutierrez on a season long loan. Although this would remove the player from the Newcastle wage-bill it would also indicate that the Geordie side expect to return to top-flight football at the first attempt so that the player can then resume his Newcastle career.

Fulham, merely a stepping stone? No thanks!

If we were to sign him, I'd prefer a loan arrangement. I'm still not sold on him completely. He looked great early on last season, but disappeared towards the end.

Of course, if we're considering loans, I'd rather go after a striker (or two). Voronin and Manucho spring to mind.
