Fulham - Jozy's The Man?

Before the USA completed a shock win over Spain in the Confederations Cup, the Daily Mail were linking Roy with a loan move for their young American starlet Jozy Altidore.

Despite being hailed as a massive talent, I only got my first glimpses of him in this competition and to be fair, he looked a long way out of his depth.

However, yesterday he showcased his talents with a brilliantly taken goal which proved he has many attributes to his game.

With Kamara possibly on his way out and Nevland potentially going, he could be the man to plug the holes up front and maybe even become a regular starter...

realistically he's probably a couple years away from really developing into the potential he has... he's only 19 right now... i think we should track him for a year or two.

He's good. Get him.

i wouldn't mind him at our club. We all know what Roy can do with players he believes in. Where have you heard Nevland might go?!? I hope not! What we need, specially in europe!

He's not good enough for the prem. Maybe in the future, but his first touch is lacking, he doesn't hold the ball well (which should be a strength given his size), he is inconsistent, and he doesn't defend well from the front. I'd rather have Bobby Zamora. I think Altidore could develop into a good player, but he is not ready and we need depth and strength now.

On loan... sure. He's a good player, but he's not ready for league play. Maybe domestic cup competition. That being said, we need to improve the squad for Premier and Europa League play, so until that's settled, he's more of a luxury than a necessity.

but didn't Eddie Johnson look good playing for the USA?
