Fulham - Rejoice He`s Not Coming!

Heaven forbid!

Was Anton Ferdinand really on our radar if Brede Hangeland were to leave?

Several sites are reporting that is exactly the case.

But, we can all breathe easier as Anton has come out to issue a statement that he`s staying at Sunderland, remarking,

"I'm not sure about interest from other clubs, but that is the last thing on my mind."

'I signed for Sunderland on a four-year deal and it wouldn't be fair to stay one year and then leave."

'I'm enjoying it up there - I look forward to working with Steve Bruce and the players I had round me last year."

'We had a good team spirit. It will be sad to see people leave if that happens, but if the manager brings in better players then I am not going to complain."

It looks like my wishes have been granted - thank you whoever was listening!

I didn't think Cottagers were prepared to even consider selling Brede Hangeland. He was arguably your best player last season. Clearly the only club you should even countenance a bid from would be that friendly Manchester City outtfit?

i was scared arsenal would try to steal him, but they got that ajax defender, so i'm not as worried anymore... but thank god anton's not coming over...
