Could Owen Be Right for Fulham?

It was interesting to read at the weekend that a certain Michael Owen was being touted around the Premier League via the use of a promotional pamphlet dictating his attributes.

Owen is a player that appears to have lost his way in recent years and a player who, probably more than most; has been caught up in the whole Newcastle saga.

A combination of injury and playing in a poor side has resulted in the aura that once surrounded Owen, slipping, almost like an angel losing its halo.

Underneath the layer of woe though I`m positive the old free scoring Owen lurks.

All that`s probably needed is a confidence injection, an arm wrapped round his shoulders and a couple of goals to kick-start a career that has a lot to admire about it.

My question to you is - Could Roy Hodgson be the man to do just such a thing?

With Owen desperate to resurrect his career there`s a suspicion that he may be available for far less than the salary he`s currently on, in fact I`d hazard a guess he may even consider a 'pay as you play` scheme making signing Owen a realistic prospect for the less fashionable clubs.

Could Michael Owen do a decent job for Fulham Football Club?

I`ll leave you to think about that and leave your comments as you feel free.

I doubt we were a club his management wrote to given his wage demands but I would love to see him at Craven Cottage for us. When not injured, he was excellent for Newcastle. In our favour, Fabio is often at Craven Cottage and European football. Against, wage demands and the 10 million spent on AJ means we will have a hard time getting a game if he isnt willing to work.

Cannot see him going that far South, too far from his Gee-Gees

Would be great, but I can't see it happening.

Frankly, I'd rather see us sign Martins before Owen.

Waste of money when injured all the time! Go for a younger and less injury prone target man!
