Fulham - 2+2=4?

OK, odd title I know but as previously reported in the media, Oguchi Onyewu is apparently on his way to the Cottage after Roy intercepted his move to Birmingham which was supposed to go through on Friday.

Seeing as the team from the second city yesturday signed Coventry City centre half Scott Dann, the Onyewu move for them is clearly off.

Having put two and two together, could the club be about to announce the tall American defender as our first summer signing?

Exciting times lie ahead!

well, i'll have another american to root for, provided he doesn't play poorly...

Gooch has been playing well as of late, well, for the US national team. Catch a glimpse of him tomorrow at the Confederations Cup.

He was rubbish when he made his debut at Newcastle after we had chased him last time. I wouldnt sign him on the basis that he turned Coleman down at the last minute for Newcastle.

I thought it was his club that turned down Coleman. Regardless, he's backup material; not a starter. As long as he operates in that role, it's a perfectly decent signing as he is a free transfer.

As an American I can only hope Gooch can perform well for us. Playing Italy tomorrow will surely be used as a measuring stick, considering the plethora of talent Italia has, but I must say I'm nervous.
