Fulham In Line for a Fortune?

We`re not sure if he`s the sort of striker we`d contemplate chasing after but the name of Mark Antoine-Fortune remains fairly prominent amongst those providing the transfer gossip this morning.

According to the Daily Star and the Daily Express, Fulham and Hull have merged as the most likely destinations for the striker who was on loan at West Bromwich Albion last season.

With the Midlands club being relegated it`s not sure if they intend to pursue their option to sign the forward, on a permanent basis, from AS Nancy.

The tabloids are adamant that his value is something in the region of £3 million which, in our opinion, seems a little steep for somebody who only scored five times, in nineteen appearances, for West Brom last season.

His record for AS Nancy is hardly impressive either with the striker having scored only ten goals in fifty three appearances.

Matters are further complicated due to the fact that West Brom have recently parted company with their manager with Tony Mowbary having agreed to join Glasgow Celtic.

We`ll keep you advised of any further developments.

yeah i can't really see why we're being linked with him... nevland and kamara only scored one goal less than fortune did last season, and they didn't get nearly as much opportunity... doesn't really seem like an improvement... and for 3 mil, why would we spend that much for something we already have?

In his record in France that concerns me. He did far better at WBA than he did in France. Not what we need. Not even close.
