Fulham - Player Review of the Season (5)

And the fifth in our series is Simon Davies

Voted Player of the Season last season, Simon Davies has always been a club favourite ever since he moved from Everton.

His week in, week out reliability and work rate make him such a popular player and his been key to our success this season.

Despite only scoring three goals this season, two down on his five of last season, Davies has still made valuable contributions all the way through the season.

His delivery at corners and free kicks is superb as he showed in the 2-2 draw with Chelsea when he assisted both of Dempsey`s goals.

Davies is presently recovering from surgery but is sure to be back in time for the start of next sea-son if not pre-season.

I look forward to seeing him continuing his industrious work on the right wing next season both in England and Europe.

I have no complaints about Davies. He's a good player. However, I think he, Konchesky and Zamora are the most likely to lose their starting roles next season.

not sure there, Simon is well respected and does a decent job!

I agree with the other two though - on dodgy ground!

but could Roy be looking at the wide midfield positions to jazz things up!

11/10 for effort but hes not the most skillfull of players. As much as i love Davies and his consistancy and hard work - i would like to bring in a young pacey winger whos willing to run at players and get a cross in at the by line as opposed to pulling up near the edge of the area... best of luck in his recovery though, he sure is an asset to the club regardless

He is a good player who puts in a good shift. Can we find better? Yes, but he does contribute his fair amount to warrant a place.

i'm fine with him in... and i've seen how much we need him on the pitch with gera playing at a level below davies...
