'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham - Roy Believed in His Own Ability!

As Fulham prepare to play their last Premier League game of the season, Roy Hodgson can reflect on a remarkable season.

If anyone, in the world of football, doubted his appointment when Lawrie Sanchez was removed from office, they`ve surely been forced to eat humble pie.

Speaking about such doubts and making people eat their words, Roy has remarked,

"I wanted to show people I could do the job and that I`m good at what I do."

"It wasn`t my objective to prove anyone wrong but I guess I have. I suppose there were people who thought - 'We don`t believe in this guy`- but it didn`t come as an enormous shock when I heard that Fulham wanted to talk to me."

"I should maybe put that down to an arrogant belief in my own ability."

An ability that has lit up many a Fulham supporter`s life Roy, we owe you so much mate!

I hope we can hang onto him long-term. If we do well next season, I'm afraid a bigger club will try to hire him away from Craven Cottage.
