Could Fulham Resist Massive Arsenal Bid?

Yesterday we covered how one leading newspaper was predicting that Brede Hangeland was discussing a new contract with Fulham, it was implied that he`d be staying at Craven Cottage.

Whilst we have no current reason to doubt that story we have to admit to being a little worried about an article that has appeared in a tabloid this morning that may well test our resolve to hang on to the Norwegian.

It implies that Arsene Wenge is keen to bolster the Arsenal defence by signing Brede and that Arsenal could be willing to spend as much as £15 million to ensure they get their man.

Now with Brede having cost a fraction of that when Roy Hodgson brought him to Craven Cottage, and if the article is true, the amount offered could seriously tempt Fulham to part with the player.

Would it be good business?

I for one would hate to see Brede go. Why break up such a sturdy back five as we have enjoyed this season.

This is a question for the chairman. Either we're going to fund future signings by selling players when we have a chance or continue to rely on Roy to the find the diamonds-in-the-rough for cheap. Ambition would dictate that we keep him. Financial reality says we sell him. Tough to walk away from £15m. Can Roy when without him? I think he can.
Samboney
Obviously left my dictionary at home, today. When vs Win?? Duh.

it's also a question for brede as well, how much will arsenal pay him compared to what we can and how important is his relationship with Roy lots of things we don't know, lots of things to fret about over the summer, that's good then;-)
Oldwolf
but like I've said before - worrying times!
Al Billy
I reckon Roy could do so much with £15m but could we unearth another Brede, I doubt it!
Putney
If we make Europe, 15m goes a long way to filling out a larger squad size. I hope he stays though.

It's a lot of money. Have faith in Roy and let him invest it properly.
RadioactiveD
I'd rather he stay in all honesty. I don't think we are as hard up as the papers suggest as well.
