Fulham - Defenders in Contract Talks!

Stood in the newsagents this morning exchanging idle chat with the guy who runs it, I flicked through the various newspapers he was selling and something in the Daily Express caught my eye.

On of their roving reporters implied that our two central defenders, Aaron Hughes and Brede Hangeland, will both be, shortly, putting pen to paper on new contracts.

With Hangeland tipped to move onto a bigger club the news that the Norwegian, who has always said he loves it at Craven Cottage, is prepared to put his pen where his mouth is would be fantastic.

As would the same thing happening with the reliable Hughes whose style perfectly compliments that of Hangeland.

What a perfect fillet, if true, for the end of a fantastic season!

I'll believe it when the ink is dry on the paper - not before!

I have a feeling one out of the two will be off!

I won't be convinced that Hangeland is staying until the end of the transfer window this summer.

Hopefully this is true but apparently Arsenal are willing to pay £15M. I do think they will stay but it will be more difficult to hold on as opposed to January.

Arsenal are worrying me, they usually get what they want!
