'If It's Football, It's Vital'

How could things possibly get better?

There have been, and will be many more articles like this, but whilst I find some spare time, I just want to mention what a fantastic season we have had!

As a youngster, I may be seen as naive, but I have never felt so proud to be a Fulham fan.

To think that I would look forward to the weekend with the expectancy of 3 points, was the stuff of dreams for me.

To know my eyes must revert up, rather than down, to find my humble football club on the English Premier League table.

To believe that the likes of Valencia could be gracing the Cottage pitch in competitive football within a few months.

This is truly an amazing time to support the mighty whites. But, in a very 'Fulhamish' and negative sense, I always wonder, will it really last?

Once Roy has gone, will there be anyone big enough to fill the boots?

Will we crumble under expectancy? Or, will we rise and rise, with money and silverware to support us?

Will we see the best players in the world choosing the banks of the Thames as a remarkable footballing home?

Will WE be the team everyone wants to support?

And will we achieve Mo's dream of becoming the Man Utd of the south?

Well, as much as these questions may bug me, there is only one way to find out!

Couldnt agree more KB, great article. Growing up as a kid sporting a fulham shirt in primary school, everyone used to ask who i supported as they didnt recognise the shirt what with us being in the then Division 3. Coming through the leagues i admit i did love our rise to the top flight with constant wins and was absolutely gutted last season when that came to end, but for Gentleman Roy saving us. Although i am sure a number of the older fans may disagree having seen the great names come famously through the cottage gates - i can honestly say that i have never been so proud to don the Fulham badge. COYW!

You won't hear many QPR fans saying this, but I really admire what you've done there, you've appointed the right man and he has done an unbelievable job in taking you to where you are. I sincerely hope there can be a derby between us in the Prem sooner rather than later!

being from america, when people ask you who you follow, it is usually followed by a "who?" or "why?"... this season i've sure been able to stick it to my friends who support arsenal or manchester united, and i'll be in dreamland if we can secure a point or three and compete next year in europe...

I honestly believe we can do it. Spuds have got to win at anfield and that won’t be easy, and we have a great record against the toffees at the cottage so here’s to a very good last day of the season. I thought last years last day was amazing (because we did and nobody thought we would do it – including myself) but this is even better, what a summer this is going to be. Come you Whites
