Fulham - Hodgson`s Kind Words!

Gentleman Roy Hodgson is never one to gloat.

Even though he knew that our victory, up at St James Park, had plunged Newcastle back into the relegation battle that haunted us last season, he remained dignified and very tactful in his assessment of the game, remarking,

"We came here to some extent as sacrificial lambs today."

"It was a great win here today. I feel sorry for Newcastle - they deserved better, we rode our luck on several occasions."

"We are thankful for a very good performance from our back four and goalkeeper."

We`d not expect anything else from a scholar of the game and we, here at Vital Fulham, would like to wish Newcastle every success as they seek to emulate what we done last season, namely, win on the last day of the season to ensure survival.
