Fulham - Murphy Wants To Manage!

The tabloids today carry an article that made me smile.

I guess if there was one player, out of the current starting eleven, that has the credentials to try and carve out a successful career as a manager, it`d be Danny Murphy.

Murphy has always tried to play the game as it should be, passing the ball around and making the game look simple.

Therefore, it`s pleasing to read that Danny has every intention of going into management when he hangs up his boots, remarking,

"When I see younger managers like Shearer and Gareth Southgate, it inspires me to try and be like them."

"It`s a positive thing to see players going into management. It shows that it is possible to make that leap."

Could there be a starting base better than as Roy Hodgson`s assistant?

Or even learning your trade alongside one of the best in the business?

I reckon he'd be a success, he's got most of the attributes but it'd depend on man-management and how he spends cash!
Al Billy
he needs to establish himself as a #2 first I'd suggest!
Putney
I reckon he would be as good as anybody. No matter where he starts, he needs to get the proper training and badges. I don't like these former players (particularly the superstars like Shearer) being allowed to circumvent the FAs requirements.
Samboney
I too believe he should take his time with it rather than throw himself in at the deep end but best of luck to him if/when he does decide to manage

certainly he'd be welcome by the fans to take a place under roy...

beware Danny - don't get sucked into League Two - it's a graveyard!
