Fulham - Loving the Underdog!

Two good performances, two good results, possibly a little luck and we`ll be looking at a few European trips next season.

That possibility continues to dominate our thoughts as we approach the penultimate game of the season.

It all seems so different after the terrible struggles of last season and the manner in which we`ve eased up the table has surprised a few people, even those of us who predicted a hard struggle back in August.

It`s a fact not lost on Bobby Zamora who, ahead of the clash with Newcastle, has spoken about how the team have surprised almost everyone this season, remarking,

"I think we have sort of been written off at the start of the season and every game we have gone into, we have never really been favourites.'

'But that is good, it has suited us, and I doubt we are really favourites for the next two games either."

'It is something for us to channel our energies and hopefully we can continue to do well and get that place in Europe.'

'It would be fantastic but we know we have two very difficult games and the teams that are just behind us are capable of winning as well.'

But like Bobby says, don`t you just love the underdog?

i think its why a lot of supporters fell in love with Nevland. He came in and scored some important goals for us to help secure safety then was given a back seat, must be hard being the underdog of an underdog team...
