Fulham In Weak Middlesbrough Player Link!
The 'Daily Grapevine` is really clutching at straws today!
In fact we`d hazard a guess that, merely to fill in a few blanks they`ve used the name of our club.
Seemingly, as we`ve discussed in another article, Middlesbrough are entrapped in the relegation quagmire. If they do get relegated there will be the inevitable exodus of players form the Riverside Stadium.
One name mentioned is Gary O`Neill who is currently being linked with a move to Bolton Wanderers with Gary Megson, apparently, willing to pay the £4 million transfer fee.
So, to add a bit depth to the article, the Daily Grapevine has suggested we`re interested in the player as well.

He's a decent player, but if we're looking at 'Boro, I'd be more interested in Tuncay, Adam Johnson or Matthew Bates.

he's decent, but i agree with samboney that we should have a shot at matthew bates, who i think is a good player. hopefully a busy summer in roy's perspective then. COYW

Don't want any Boro players if im honest except perhaps Downing. Rumour was that O'Neill was going to join us when San**** was in charge.

I don't want him. And, I don't really want Bates either. Tuncay would be nice. Downing is perhaps a tad unlikely.

I think Downing is over-rated. In fact, I can't wait 'til Spurs land him. He'll be another David Bentley for them. There's a great statistic in Martin Tyler's blog on SkySports. Downing has taken 60 shots this season without scoring a goal; far and away the leader in that category by 22 attempts.

To be honest lads we have some decent players, some low on confidence others maybe suffering from southgate chopping and changing them, we have just had a s**t season like you did last season. It would be naive to label all our players bar 1 rubbish, based on your good season and our poor 1, your club are usually in our place at this stage of the season. Having said that i hope you stuff the barcodes good luck

cheers tim i hope so to. I think you have a better squad than is representitive of your league position. In terms of players we could steal though i would love to bring Tuncay to Fulham i think he is very underrated by other clubs as he always gives his all and likes to show off a bit of skill, which although we have some quality passers of the ball, bar Dempsey, no-one really does any of the attractive stuff to try to beat players. Just look at Tuncay's turn for the Newcastle own goal - quality. Best of luck beating the drop, we all sympathise with the nerves as we have been there many times

I would happily have adam Johnson, Tuncay, Bates, Huth,O'Neil, That young french? midfielder they have and wheater, they are good players that could do really well under ol' roy. Putney, I'm really sorry I haven't been on for, well, too long. I have had alot to deal with being in my first year at uni, etc. i am doing my exams atm and once done i promise i will help you out again. Hope all is well
