Fulham - Pascal`s Patience!

Those that practice their profession between the posts must have patience as one of their traits.

Why else would they sit, on the bench, week in and week out not knowing if they`re even going to see the merest glimpse of action?

It`s different if you are an outfield player, there`s always a chance one of the ten on the pitch may get an injury or there may be a tactical change.

I`ve often wondered what makes keepers persevere but Pascal Zuberbuhler, our thirty-eight year old Swiss born number two, has given an insight into what it`s like when he`s commented,

"Every day I keep in mind that how I perform and how I behave is being assessed."

Interestingly, if Fulham do qualify for the Europa League, the Swiss keeper may find himself stuck between the posts considerably more than he has done this season with the threat of a weakened team being fielded!
