Fulham - Good Luck Liam!

Anyone who has been following Vital Fulham since I took over the editorial reins will know that I always rated Liam Rosenior.

I thought it was a bad deal when a swap was instigated with Reading, a swap whereby they got Liam and we got Seol. At the time Liam was an ever present in our side and only being forcibly withdrawn after throwing up, during a match, prevented him from playing every minute of every game in his last season with us.

Since his move to Reading I`ve continued to monitor his progress and I`m well chuffed for the lad that he`s so close to returning to the Premier League.

Tonight, his side attempt to turn around a 1-0 deficit against Burnley in the Championship play-off semi-final second leg, it`s a fixture that Liam has described as his cup final when, on the eve of the game, he`s remarked,

"You want to play in cup finals and big games. This is bigger than the cup final because it is a chance to play in the biggest league in the world."

"I took playing in the Premier League for granted when I was there and it makes me want to get back there even more."

I`m sure you`ll join me in wishing Liam all the best for tonight.

Reading seem to have some injury concerns. I hope they win, but I'm not terribly optimistic.

I too hope they win tonight but i do feel its Sheffield Utd on their way up

Oh well. Maybe next year Reading. Why didn't Coppell start Stephen Hunt and Dave Kitson? I'll be cheering for Burnley, but I agree that Sheffield United are likely on their way up.
Samboney
i always like liam as well... that was a poor deal...

With Reading not gaining promotion and Coppell leaving, Rosenior, Stephen Hunt and Kevin Doyle may decide they want to get back into the Prem. They might be available. Who knows. Maybe we'll have him in the squad again.
Samboney
damn they got beat and it has to be said Coppell made some strange starting seelctions!
Al Billy
didn't think Liam had too bad a game though!
Al Billy
I wonder if they'll sell him as part of a reconstruction!
