Fulham - Hodgson - Weakened Side Hint!

The dilemma that Roy Hodgson perhaps would rather not have had to even contemplate draws ever nearer.

The fine 3-1 victory, over Aston Villa, put us firmly in line for qualification for the Europa League.

With two Premier League fixtures to go there is every chance of Roy leading Fulham to their highest ever position in the League.

Clearly, Roy has had to give the matter of the Europa League thought and in the build up to the game against Villa, he had this to say,

"The Premier League is of such importance that matches are going to come up in midweek where a manager is going to have to prioritise."

"You have to ask if you`re more concerned about the European match or getting three points in the Premier League. I wouldn`t rule out playing a weakened side."

Well at least we`ve been warned!

I like Roy's habit of tempering expectations, but let's see how we do in the transfer market this summer. We might just be able to handle it.

Top result for you guys, this. Really turns up the heat on the Europa qualification. City will have to get a result against Manyoo tomorrow. I have to say in passing that Roy Hodgson has done an incredible job with the Cottagers.

Europe beckons - it's like a dream! Please don't wake me up!

Roy's right, if you're not in the Prem then there is no Europe - so why chase a dream for one season?
Putney
I think Europe is a problem Roy is going to have to deal with because 1 more point just might be enough to put us through given the remaining fixtures and goal differentials. Are we really this close? I'm with Al Billy on this one - don't wake me up.

The Europa League is a joke. 19 games to get the final? Give me a break. I would field a weakened team most of the time, if not all the time. Good luck the rest of the season! Hold on to 7th. Don't let Spurs steal your place! Ha

We have qualified ONCE for Europe. Embrace it I say - I am going to every game, not matter what team Roy sends out
