Fulham - Wolves Want a Familiar Face!

How long ago was it that Steve Davis left us to play for his boyhood heroes Glasgow Rangers?

It seems like only the blink of an eyelid but already there is talk of the Irish international moving back to the Premier League.

The Daily Mirror has, in a snippet today, implied that Mick McCarthy has earmarked the midfielder as a possible candidate to bolster the midfield of his newly promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers.

They`re also trying to imply that Davis will command a fee of £3 million?

Now excuse me for querying the fee but isn`t that far in excess of what we sold him for and what has he achieved since moving to Ibrox, to make him worth that much in an era when the credit situation, of the nation is far from healthy?

I think that's right in line with what Rangers paid us for him. He's done well enough for Rangers, but we all know that doesn't translate into success here. You think they'd be interested in Chris Baird, as well? We could throw in Collins John at no charge.

Two sources is all I could find: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_Davis http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/spieler/28973/steven-davis/transferdaten.html Both indicated £3 million.
