Fulham - Unlucky Nevland!

After finally getting his chance, due to an injury to Andrew Johnson, Erik Nevland showed what he could do at Stamford Bridge yesterday.

The striker took his goal superbly well to make it two in two games and some of his movement was top notch. Twisting and turning, to find space, he looked the one Fulham player who could seriously trouble our hosts and then it all went pear-shaped.

Dusting himself down after becoming the meat in the sandwich with John Terry and John Obi Mikel operating as the bread, you just knew the Norwegian had picked up an injury.

Although it was several more minutes before he finally limped off you just couldn`t help feeling sorry for the guy, so patient, so productive and then crocked.

Let`s hope he makes a swift recovery.

The goal was superb and he almost added a second. If he's healthy and AJ's ready to return, I'd be happy to see Zamora take a seat for the remaining fixtures and see what Erik could do. Fair is fair. I think he's earned it.

I know some wont like it but i think if we hadnt bothered with AJ and just kept nevland we would have scored more this season at less cost. Still not convinced by Zamora

Nevland should start more often seems to be the consensus of opinion then!
