Fulham - Bordeaux Defender Linked!

Fulham - Bordeaux Defender Linked!

The doubts that continue to surround the future of Brede Hangeland are continuing to keep the 'Daily Grapevine` turning over.

Seemingly, if Brede does go, Fulham are in the hunt for a central defender and the latest name to fit the frame is the Bordeaux defender, Souleymane Diawara.

Now I know very little about the Senegalese international but the player himself seems to be delighted at the mere mention of a move to the Premier League and he`s been quoted as saying,

"To play in the Premier League would be great. I could leave if a very good offer arrives."

Now I wonder what constitutes a very good offer!

Bordeaux are challenging for the league title this season, and possible Champions League football next season, which is the reason for the "very good offer" comment.

He played one season at Charlton. I read that his agent forced the move to Bordeaux. Not sure what the story is behind that. Perhaps they made a "very good offer."
