Fulham - Striving to Keep Nevland!

After coming on for the injured Bobby Zamora, Erik Nevland had one of those games eh must dream about.

The Norwegian scored the winning goal and his all-round play was a joy to watch, but this may well be the last season he spends with us at Craven Cottage.

Nevland is approaching the last year of his contract and there is the suggestion that he`ll be on his way in the summer.

Speaking abut the situation Roy Hodgson has remarked,

"Viking are desperate to get him back but I`d like to keep him."

He`s an outstanding professional. Any time we`ve wanted him in the reserves, he has played."

"Every time we ask him to pitch up for outside activities, he`s the first in line. Now he`ll get his share of the headlines and he deserves it."

Speaking about his starring role on Saturday, Erik had this to say,

"It was a good feeling to come on and to score the winner was great."

"It`s easier to come on than play the whole game. You can sit and watch how the game develops and you can take advantage of it."

"I want to play as much as possible but I`m happy at Fulham and have a contract for another year."

Our question to you is,

"Would you like to see the Norwegian stay beyond that?"

undoubtedly... at the very least, he is a proven spark off the bench... and unfortunately for our front line, skysports pointed out in their article that nevland has more goals off the bench than bobby does starting 31 games... if he wants to come back, bring him back...

With that kind of attitude, he can stay as long as he likes.

He has said in the past he is happy just to be involved with the club so if we qualify for Europe I wouldnt be suprised if he stays as he will get more game time. Wouldnt be too shocked if he leaves though.

it'll be interesting to see how he plays if he gets picked to start at Chelsea on Saturday!
