Fulham - Hodgson Sits on Europe Fence!

Fulham - Hodgson Sits on Europe Fence!

It`s still an emotive subject, Europe or not!

In his post-match press conference, held after the 1-0 win over a gallant Stoke City, Roy was inevitably asked the $64,000 question and succinctly replied,

We are in the top seven but there`s no guarantee we`ll still be there in four days."

"It was a good win after losing our two front players early through injury."

"Europe would be a tribute to the work the players have put in but the competition is still very strong."

I get this strange feeling that Roy would love to finish eighth, thereby ensuring our best ever finish, but just miss out on Europe, don`t you!

i agree. i think he's trying to keep the fans and players grounded and not get too ahead of ourselves... we still have some tough matches left and we don't want to get carried away.
