Fulham - Hangeland Talks Hit Obstacle!

We`ve always believed that the Brede Hangeland situation will drift on and on through the summer.

Already this week we`ve run an article whereby Fulham, were apparently, ready to offer Brede an improved deal as a reward for his fine form since arriving from FC Copenhagen.

Unfortunately, if a leading tabloid is correct, this offer hasn`t gone down too well with Brede being quoted a saying he regards it as

"Derisory!"

But, as is often the case in the opening exchanges in ongoing contract talks, Roy Hodgson has hit back replying,

"He`s our player and we`ll fight tooth and nail to keep him."

With the Norwegian having two years left on his contract there remains plenty of scope for negotiation doesn`t there?

worst circumstances - what price might tempt us as a club to sell him?

He's gone. So many of the bigger clubs with aspirations of Champions League have defensive problems. Spurs and Man City can't defend at all. Arsenal and Liverpool have shown weakness of late. All four have the money to do it. Hopefully one of them will be so desparate that we can drive the price up.
