Dempsey Was Your Man at City!

Lingering amongst our closed polls, I stumbled across one that hadn`t had the results published.

It related to the fine 3-1 away win against Manchester City and it concentrated on your choice of man-of-the-match.

Leading the way home was Clint Dempsey with a mammoth 61% of the vote, proving that goals do gain accolades.

In second place with 13% of the vote was the other scorer that day Dickson Etuhu although perhaps I should add he shared second place with Bobby Zamora who also polled a similar amount.

A worthy winner may I say!

agreed, am not sure that Zamora should have been as high as he was, especially when you consider how well Murphy was getting on

perhaps we should label Zamora MARMITE, as people tend to either love him or hate him!

I voted for Dempsey, but Zamora played great! Let's not forget that he created both of Dempsey's goals. He stole the ball, was dispossessed by Richards and the ball fell perfectly to Dempsey. The second Dempsey goal was a direct assist from Zamora. He's not my favorite player, but give credit where credit is due.

without question dempsey was the best last sunday. zamora did play well last sunday, and in my opinion, did exactly the opposite this week. didn't look to pass, didn't put forth the effort.
