Lingering amongst our closed polls, I stumbled across one that hadn`t had the results published.

It related to the fine 3-1 away win against Manchester City and it concentrated on your choice of man-of-the-match.

Leading the way home was Clint Dempsey with a mammoth 61% of the vote, proving that goals do gain accolades.

In second place with 13% of the vote was the other scorer that day Dickson Etuhu although perhaps I should add he shared second place with Bobby Zamora who also polled a similar amount.

agreed, am not sure that Zamora should have been as high as he was, especially when you consider how well Murphy was getting on
