'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham - Dacourt on Premier League Life!

We`ve already reported, last month I believe, how Olivier Dacourt is unsure as to whether to call time on his career at the end of this season.

Well now it turns out that, despite not making the starting eleven that often, the Frenchman is thoroughly enjoying his time in England and the Premier League.

Although the football is as intense as anywhere in the world, Olivier appreciates the fact that when its all done and dusted you can merge into the general population.

Speaking to the media, he`s remarked,

"I love the English league because of the passion in the stadiums and the fact families go all together to watch games in a great atmosphere."

"There is less controversy once the game is over, contrary to what you can see in France, Spain and Italy."

And as for the current season, Olivier shares the desire to finish in the top ten, commenting,

"Finishing in the top ten is the club`s objective. Fulham escaped on the last match-day of last season but this time we are determined to win as many games as possible."

Let`s hope he gets his wish before deciding what to do with his career.

He is a good player, just with Etuhu, he was never really gunna make it here. Sounds like a nice guy though, life has been hell for him in footballing terms recently...

I agree KB, Though I havent seen all his action, I don't feel like he has shown me that much in his time on the pitch.

He would add depth I admit, but he would rot faster then other backup players...if you know what I mean?? Like, the older bread is, the more likely it is to be mouldy...:D

I guess if he had the choice he'd prefer a regular starting place somewhere!
