Fulham - Hodgson Indignant Toward Title Race!

Fulham - Hodgson Indignant Toward Title Race!

It`s purely coincidence that in successive home games we`re playing the two teams who appear to be favourites to contest the title.

After seeing off Manchester United two weeks ago with a magnificent performance it`s hoped that more of the same can be produced today.

But, as far as Roy Hodgson is concerned, toady is just another game, another game against very good opposition with the title race being something he`s not concerned about.

In his obligatory pre-match press conference Roy has spoken about this matter, remarking,

"The title race occupies little of my time. I`m trying to prepare my team to win games."

"I can only hope we can maintain the good form we`ve shown and play as good a game against Liverpool as we did against United."

"The important thing for us is to win. We don`t have any thoughts about the title race."

"As far as we`re concerned, the question how our results against them will affect the title is something we don`t talk about."

"We only discuss the game and try to prepare it as we`d like to win."

"All of us want to make sure when the final whistle blows people are saying Liverpool are good - but Fulham can play too."

"I can only hope the memories of the last game and good feeling we got from it will motivate players to produce that performance."

In order for a degree of fairness to be maintained as the title race approaches its climax, it`d be true and just if we were to beat Liverpool as well as Manchester United, then there`d be no arguments would there!

It would be fantastic if we got a win today, but I can't think of anything motivational for the players. I just hope Roy can bring a good performance outta them!
