'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham - Johnson Looks Ahead to Liverpool Clash!

Having played for Everton, it`s no surprise that Andy Johnson would like to turn over the red-half of the city big time today.

Therefore, it`s also no surprise that the forward, who Fulham signed from Everton last summer, features heavily in the tabloid build up to the kick-off.

Speaking about the fixture, Johnson predicts that Liverpool will witness, first-hand, just what sort of football we`re capable of playing and what sort of result we`re seeking when he comments,

"There are no favours for anyone in this game - we are out to win."

"We want to get into Europe but that is a different kind of pressure. I have had a couple of texts from Everton friends and they are not too keen to see Liverpool win the league."

"I will be doing my utmost to score and win. And I think we have a better chance of beating Liverpool than we had against Manchester United."

"The boys have been playing fantastic football all season but I think we will see the next level now."

"We can play with a bit more freedom. We are enjoying it, everyone is happy, there is great morale in the dressing room and that is why I think we have got the results we have got this season."

Clearly, reaching that mythical 40 points has seen a weight lifted from the teams shoulders and if Andy is right we`re about to see a bolder, more attacking Fulham.

Let`s just hope we don`t fall victim to that sucker counter-attack Liverpool are famous for!

Those are very clever, and positive comments from AJ....lets hope he's right!! It makes me proud to support a side with good attacking football.

I'd be so very proud if AJ could score the winner today!

would it be rude to suggest it's about time AJ was given a penalty :-)
