'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham - AJ on his International Hopes!

It`s a fact that surprised me!

During collecting his eight international caps, our very own Andrew Johnson never once featured in a losing England side. I wonder how many players can boast such a fact!

But since the removal from office of Steve McLaren, AJ hasn`t had a look-in and the pundits are suggesting his team has been and gone.

Thankfully, AJ isn`t of the same opinion and fervently admits he`d love to play for his country again and when approached about the subject had this to say,

"You are always by the phone."

"But all I can do is play well and keep scoring goals."

You get the feeling AJ would like just one chance to show Fabio Capello what he can do, let`s hope that AJ gets that chance!

He has proven he is a clinical finisher. It is up to us to give him more chances in front of goal, and give his tally a boost!

If there was another striker crisis similar to that of now, perhaps he would stand a good chance....

Yes. The amount of effort AJ puts in will top any striker!
