Fulham - More to Come from The Hungarian!

I have to admit to being overjoyed when Zoltan Gera decided to move to Craven Cottage from the Hawthorns.

I thought we`d secured a player who was going players; I thought the Hungarian would become one of our star performers.

Unfortunately, that hasn`t been the case; if I were to be honest I`d say he`s flattered to deceive.

But, could the twenty-nine year old be due for a change of luck and fortune after his spectacular winner against Manchester United last Saturday?

Zoltan himself hopes so and, in an interview with the media, remarked,

'I'm not happy with myself. I should play much better than I have. I don't know why I haven't shown my best for the club, but I hope it will turn."

'The fans haven't seen the best of me. I can do a lot more, and that's why I'm frustrated. I signed for a new club and I need to show my best."

'I had a chance earlier in the season, but I didn't play good enough to keep my place. Clint has come in and played very well. He's scored a lot of important goals, so it's difficult to get back in, but I'm working on it. My priority is to get back in the team and keep my place.'

Here`s one supporter whose hoping we get to see the best of Zoltan as we chase down a Europa League spot.

anyways...i am glad gera got a goal, and a good one at that. if i was hodgson it would be difficult to choose between clint and zoltan. both top players but in different ways. i would stick with clint for now though.

West Brom plays a different style of football than we do, so that might have something to do with his peformance thus far. He just hasn't adapted quickly enough. I don't know that he'll ever be a regular, but I think he's a decent enough sub and as we got him on a free transfer, financially he's probably someone we want to hold onto during the summer as depth will be a focus.

personally i'd choose dempsey over gera, as i feel dempsey is more of a battler. he seems fiercely competitive, and that's the kind of player i want in those big matches. but gera is quality and i certainly don't dread when he comes on as a substitute. we should hold onto him, which hopefully won't be too hard as he seems happy for now.

yeah he is definitely for keeps. dempsey is definitely more of a hard grafter, and he should keep his space......for now.

Next season swap Demspy to the right and Sign O'hara or bresciano for the left

We have to improve the team, but I'd be perfectly content to leave Dempsey on the left and Davies on the right. Both have played well in those roles.

yeah i agree with sam....both are quality wingers. if it aint broke, don't fix it...and O'hara aint bad in the middle

I was convinced Gera would be the transfer of the summer for us, but it hasn't worked out that way. But I am hopeful that he'll come good. Plus the idea of dropping Simon Davies is crazy! The man is a legend, never gets injured, never seems to get tired, skillful, scores the odd goal and one of our most creative players!
