Fulham - Brede for Player of the Year?

Coming across the sports news channels this morning (Okay, Sky Sports news to be precise), I come across the names of Ronaldo, Giggs, Vidic, Gerrard and Torres for Premier League player of the year.

However, before I finish my coco pops before school I heard the name of Brede Hangeland also as part of the names for player of the year.

Now, I as a Fulham fan would vote for Hangeland but I'm looking for facts also.

When was the last time Fulham had a player for player of the year or ever had a player of the year?

Who else could be in the running for player of the year?

Your thoughts please!

As far as Fulham's POTY, only Hangeland and Schwarzer are in the mix. What an impact they've made. As far as the league player of the year, who's been more valuable to their team than Brede's been to us - a decent argument, I think. Overall, though, it's hard to argue against Vidic. When he's out, United are no where near the same team as when he's in the lineup. You can certainly say the same for Gerrard at Liverpool.

NO!! Brede is a pile of rubbish!! .....remember!?! If he starts getting mentioned for player of the season then there's no way he'll stay with us beyond this year. I'm really not going to enjoy the transfer window this summer :(
