'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Fulham - Schwarzers Banks Moment!

With a one goal lead safely harvested, the second half was always going to be a fraught affair on Saturday.

You just knew that Sir Alex would fire United up and that, even though they were a man down following the sending off of Paul Scholes, United would be fired up and that the famous Ferguson hairdryer treatment would come into effect.

At times it looked only a matter of time before our defence would be breached and one incident stands out in my mind, that marvellous double save Mark Schwarzer pulled off to deny Park and then Rooney.

Discussing it afterwards, Mark described it as follows,

"I could see out of the corner of my eye that Park was free so I just threw myself and luckily enough the ball hit me."

"The rebound fell to Rooney, he shot across me and I was lucky enough to get my feet to it. It was a bit lucky but I`m happy to make those saves."

You were happy Mark, we were happy and I guess although, at the time he never smiled, Roy Hodgson was happy!
