Fulham - Brazilian Star Tracked?

Reading through a recent copy of the football magazine - Four Four Two - we stumbled across a potential transfer target we`re being linked with.

His name is Ze Roberto and he`s currently playing for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga.

But, the Brazilian is thinking of leaving the German side this summer and the name of Fulham appears in a long list of Premier League clubs that might be interested.

Hopefully it`s just a load of paper talk because here at Vital Fulham we`d hope that Roy Hodgson is looking at more long term transfer targets than a thirty-four year old Brazilian looking for one last pay day!

i would definitely be more interested in picking up youngsters to bolster the squad than looking for old players. we'll see what happens i guess.

Like Woody, I would prefer going for youngsters with previous Prem experience, but I think very highly of Ze Roberto. I saw him score a cracker against Bochum at the weekend. Even at 35, he can still play at a high level. If we were serious about making a push for Europe and the price was right, I think he would be a great signing.

wouldn't want him here to be honest. he would just be after money and he would hardly 'bolster' the squad at his age. nothing wrong with a bit of experience here and there, but i dont think he would offer that.

Roy knows what he's doing. Most players that we're linked with are young and British e.g Huddlestone, Delph, Moses and he's already brought Barnes in. I can't see any legs in this one....

I think he would bolster the squad. He's a good player. Again, if the price is right, we could do worse.

in a way, he could just be another dacourt, but more risky and more expensive. we have a strong midfield setup as it is, and his fitness levels at that sort of age will not allow him to play enough football, and seen as roy is a 'consistency man' he wouldn't break back into the team. thats the way i look at it.
