Fulham - Roy Says 4 More Points?
After three straight defeats, two in the league an done in the cup, pundits were beginning to wonder where our next points were coming from.
Several were suggesting that we were on the verge of spiralling into the relegation quagmire.
A failure to get anything up at the Reebok would have put us under immense pressure with games against Manchester United and Liverpool to come.
But, as we all now know, we got those precious three points and now we`re only three more points away from that mythical forty point mark.
With nine games left, only a catastrophe would see us relegated. After the Bolton game, Roy Hodgson speculated as to how many points would guarantee safety, commenting,
"We have 37 points which is more than we got last season and we still have nine games left to play."
"I think we need another three or four points before we can start to feel jubilant, but if we play as we can do I`m more than confident that we have those points in us."
Four points out of games against United (h), Liverpool (h), Man City (a), Middlesbrough (a), Stoke (h), Chelsea (a), Villa (h), Newcastle (a) and Everton (h) should be achievable shouldn`t it?

In keeping with my new pessimistic vibe, I'd say a minimum of 5 points and a maximum of 9 points from our remaining fixtures.

i would go as far to say it will be a breeze to get 4 or more points, as long as we play to the best of our abilities! :D

am i being optimistic in thinking if we continue to play like we did at Bolton we can beat the likes of Stoke Boro and Newcastle? I know theyll be battling for their lives cus of the threat of relegation but i think we are capable of picking up around 8 points from the remaining games. The away win may have gone to my head a bit though...

i am glad that we aren't in the position we were in last season with the run in we've got this time round. Those are tough tough games.
