Fulham - From Top to Bottom?

Everything changes in such a short space of time, just ask Roy Hodsgon!

Yesterday (Wednesday), in his pre-match interview, there was the slightest hint of a suggestion that we may well be about to mount a European assault (and not through the Fair Play League), a few hours later, after suffering our third reverse at Craven Cottage in ten days, the mood has become a lot more solemn.

Instead of a possible UEFA Cup place, we`re now anxiously looking over our shoulders at those fighting relegation as the gap closes, game by game, between them and us, causing Roy Hodgson to remark,

"We need to pick ourselves up. There are only six points between us and Portsmouth."

"We`re looking over our shoulders."

Please assure me we`re not going to be, this season, the side that looked so safe but ends up gate-crashing the relegation party in spectacular fashion?

we should get to those 40 points still. hell if we just drew 6 of our games, which is very possible, we'd get there.

It's hard to count on away wins to occur. Logic dictates that we'll win at least one, but you can't count on it. I'm looking at Middlesbrough as the most likely. Home wins will be equally hard to come by - Stoke being the most likely. If you throw in a couple of draws home and away, that would put us on 42, which should keep us out of relegation, but no where near the top half of the table. We need something from Bolton, even if it's just a single point.
