Fulham - Roy Looks to Europe?

Tonight gives our club a chance to wipe away some of the lurking memories from Saturday and the 4-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester United.

Tonight; and this is meant as no disrespect to our opponents Blackburn, the team shouldn`t be out-classed or out-played and it promises to be a far more even affair.

In the build up to the fixture, in his pre-match interview, Roy has spoken about that 4-0 reverse and his expectations for the remainder of the season. Considering the word relegation seems to be creeping into a lot of interviews associated with those at the club, they are refreshing words,

"There is no point in harping on about the past but 4-0 hurt my pride and the player`s pride. But we can come back from that."

"We will see how high we get. But I think you are entitled to start looking to Europe."

Is that through league position or the much debated 'Fair Play` league?

I'd like to get to 40 points before we start looking upwards... these past two years were a bit too nervy for my taste...

its interesting that when we were on a good spell earlier in the season, roy dismissed europe, and when we hit a bad patch, he is claiming it is possible....trying to spur the lads on perhaps??

After tonight, I think we should table the speculation about Europe and focus on picking up something from Bolton, before ManU come in and hand us another home loss.

After the last two home results then i would forget about Europe and concentrate on consolidating a mid table spot.

i agree with our friendly man city friend......europe is now out of reach except through fair play....avoiding relegation comfortably is now the key!!
