Fulham - Etuhu`s Shock!

Fulham - Etuhu`s Shock!

With the dust still settling on our FA Cup exit, it`s time to stop licking our wounds and pick ourselves up for the visit of Blackburn Rovers this weekend.

It`s an ideal game to do so. Blackburn are struggling at the wrong end of the table and although they are likely to put up a fight, they are the sort of team, especially at what used to be Fortress Craven Cottage until just recently.

But, before moving on, Dickson Etuhu, in the tabloids this morning, has spoken about the shock of seeing United put out such a formidable side on Saturday evening and also about the necessity to get back to winning ways, remarking,

"We knew it was going to be a tough game because we were playing the best team in the world, But we didn`t think they`d put out such a strong team."

"They obviously showed us some respect because of how good we are at hoe. But then their confidence went up when they scored the first and they started moving the ball a lot quicker."

"But we`re not going to let it get to us. The Cup has gone now. We did well to get to the last eight but what`s important is that we make sure we get a win out of our next two games."

"Blackburn on Wednesday is most important. We have to make sure we fight for every game as if it is our last." Hopefully, then, we will get enough points and be able to relax for the last few matches."

If we can`t get anything off Blackburn then Bolton away becomes the sort of game whereby he pressure to get a result will be enormous, especially with United on the horizon (again).

He didnt think the best team in the world would put out a strong team? Dickhead. If they are the best side in the world surely that is because they are always strong.

Have to say that my opinion of Etuhu has gone up considerably in the past month. Yet again proving that Roy knows a helluva lot more about football than I do. Good thing, too. For me, Blackburn is a must win game. Failure to take full points puts us in a dangerous position, with all but one of our remaining home fixtures against top 6 teams and our dreadful away form not showing any signs of improving.

i was suprised to see both centre back starters playing. and to see edwin playing. but whatever. here's to turning craven cottage back into a fortress on wednesday. we can let another team in the relegation fight take points off of us.
