Fulham - Be Alert at All Times!

Fulham - Be Alert at All Times!

The atrocity in Lahore dominated the news this week.

The awful carnage left behind my crazed-gunmen has been graphically shown across the globe.

Here in London, we`re no strangers to such incidents and even now, after the Tube bombings I have to admit to being a little wary of venturing underground.

It`s a sign of the times that, despite the current relative calm in our capital city, that we should all be on the lookout for the unusual and accept that, at anytime, a sporting event we choose to attend could become affected.

In the newspapers this morning, there are quotes from Roy Hodgson that bear testament to such thoughts when he remarks,

"In England with the terror alert we`ve had for some time we can consider ourselves better protected than the Sri Lankans in Pakistan."

"But it would be foolish of us to sit back and shake our heads thinking it won`t happen here."

"We should never relax, if anything it could be one of those reminders that we shouldn`t relax because we don`t know what`s around the corner."

So, as the legendary Shaw Taylor used to say on Police 5,

Keep them peeled!"
