Fulham - Dacourt's France Return Hint!

It`s beginning to look as if the loan spell of Olivier Dacourt is merely a temporary arrangement!

The Frenchman has been quoted by Aujourd`hui as suggesting he may well return to French football next season remarking,

"If I was offered it, a challenge such as [Claude] Makelele`s could interest me."

Sadly it looks as if the emergence of Dickson Etuhu, in recent games, and the lack of Premier League starts may well force the thirty-four year old Dacourt to reconsider his future come May.

That's OK with me. Never expected it to be a long-term arrangement, anyway.

He was just some cover because we lost three central midfielders so no bother if he leaves

as long as dacourt plays his part in keeping us up this year and teaches etuhu a thing to two, i'll be happy.

Quite clearly Fulham need to be in the market in the summer for some quality in the centre of midfield, Dacourt is a good player but at his age he is not a long term solution. Never expected him to be here next season... but then again, I thought that about Murphy when we signed him :)

well Etuhu is showing definite likelyness' of Papa Boupa Diop and he was a great player for us and from what i've seen Dacourt definitely doesn't deserve as much of a place in the 1st team as Etuhu
