I guess us getting a point at the Emirates Stadium was one of the unlikelier results this weekend.
I`d imagine the soccer pundits, well the ones I looked at predictions for, are lying a little lower this morning as they spread the jam on their croissants.
Once again we proved that we can battle but that, when called for, we can all play a little, as Arsene Wenger found out.
Perhaps we never exerted as much pressure as Arsenal but isn`t that only to be expected seeing as Arsenal were the home side?
In his post match press conference, Roy Hodgson makes a similar point, citing the fact that Mark Schwarzer was the busier of the two keepers whilst also pointing out that we created Arsne Wenger`s side problems when he remarks,
"When Arsenal got behind us, they tested Mark Schwarzer more than we tested Manuel Almunia,'
'We could have made him make more saves, but in general it's a good draw for us."
'There were times in the game when we played to our full potential."
'We were a constant threat and we carved out many opportunities. Arsenal are an offensive side at home and we matched them. "
'We were well organised and the shape of our team was good."
'We have come here and got a point and that wasn't down to a siege mentality."
It certainly wasn`t Roy, in fact despite not scoring it gave me almost as much pleasure as the comfortable win over West Brom did last week.
