Fulham - Hodgson on The Swansea Win!

Fulham - Hodgson on The Swansea Win!

Following our fine win over Swansea last night in a game that could have gone either way, Roy Hodgson was quick to praise Bobby Zamora on his performance.

Zamora, who made it two in two games, could, as Roy pointed out, have score more,

"He could have scored four or five. Apart from his goal, his all-round play was outstanding."

"It is just what we expected when we signed him. He has had a down spell but now he is back with a vengeance."

But, looking forward to the quarter-final Roy seemed a little hesitant remarking,

"Facing Manchester United is a nice reward and it will be nice to see Alex Ferguson again. I am sure we can give them a good game."

"We can beat them. We can beat Real Madrid or Barcelona or any team you can name."

"The odds favour them but they have played a lot of games as well."

"Maybe we won`t see the United we saw the other night."

Here at Vital Fulham we find it kind of ironic that the last time we made the quarter-final stage, in 2004, we also faced Manchester United, let`s hope that the result is a better one this time around.

At least we get ManU at home. That should help. However, it's sandwiched between Hull and Blackburn. According to my schedule, if you count Arsenal, that's 4 games in 12 days. If you throw Bolton into the mix, that's 5 games in 15 days - a tall order to say the least. Perhaps someone will take pity on us and allow one of those matches to be rescheduled. They'd do it United asked!

i too am very glad it is at home...our first of the fa cup campaign (excluding the replay)...i actually don't know what i would rather have....man u at home or someone like middlesbrough away as our away form is so bad.....i think it is very plausible to think we can get a result here! :)

i'm excited for this match. it'll be interesting to see how focused man u will be on this fixture, and we're pretty good at home.
