Fulham - Hughes on Brede!

On the eve of our crucial game with West Bromwich Albion, Aaron Hughes has spoken out about just what it is like to play alongside Brede Hangeland.

As we all know, Brede has been a revelation since he arrived and it`s no wonder that several 'bigger` clubs are eyeing him up.

But Aaron sums it up perfectly when he remarks,

"Brede has everything you could want a central defender to have."

"He`s 6ft 5in and his aerial capabilities are fantastic."

"But for such a big lad he`s comfortable with the ball at his feet, he can see a pass and play it."

"We have formed a good partnership and you see why he`s getting interest from other clubs."

I`m not a betting man but my money is already on Brede for our player of the season!

I agree completely, I can't really think of any other candidates that have performed to his level, except perhaps schwarzer. Hangeland is an immense centre back, and if next season we can keep the same partnership, and improve basically everywhere else, we will be a high flying team!!

even though he was a bit lapse today when he gave the pen away!

nice save by Schwarzer though!

i couldn't argue it being a penalty, but i didn't think it was an egregious error

Brede's not the most talented player we have, but he's definitely the most dependable and consistent. Easily player of the season. Hughes, on the otherhand, is one of our more inconsistent players. I don't know about a long term partnership. I wouldn't mind Roy going out and finding another center back to play along side Brede.
