'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Hodgson on Fulham Defeat!

Losing to Manchester United is no disgrace.

Losing 3-0 is hardly a catastrophe but sometimes, just sometimes you feel that you didn`t help yourselves, especially when the floodgates are partially opened by an error from somebody who is normally so reliable.

After the game, Roy summarised events by remarking,

'The first goal was a poor one for us to concede, but we were beaten by a better team.'

'What happened was no disgrace. Manchester United are a very good team with a great chance of winning the Premier League. "

'Their passing and movement was very good, and they have the individual players to finish in the final third. "

'Whatever team Sir Alex Ferguson puts out can cause you problems."

'I am just pleased we didn't capitulate. We have to wipe our faces and accept that the dream of coming here and doing something special was just that, a dream.'

You didn`t seriously believe we`d win 5-0 did you Roy?

would have been nice to get the victory though.....i think our second half performance showed it was possible to get something but we should have been more positive and attacking from the start!!

yeah the starting lineup was very defensive...

I hate to criticize Schwarzer, as he has been our savior so many times this season, but that first goal changed the entire complexion of the game. The lineup was obviously set up to play for the draw. After the goal, the 0-0 draw was off the table and we were forced to push forward at our peril. I can't fault the strategy, but it doesn't leave much room for error.

we'll just accept Schwarzer had a bad day at the office!
