Norwich Rebuked Fulham Clingan Offer!

Norwich Rebuked Fulham Clingan Offer!

One item that we`ve noticed did slip through our net recently relates to the Norwich City defender, Sammy Clingan.

If the reports are correct Roy Hodgson made an attempt to sign the Northern Ireland international as the transfer window swung shut, apparently, Norwich wouldn`t entertain any offer as they`re keen to hang onto a player they recruited from Nottingham Forest on a free transfer.

Clingan has since remarked,

'I take it as a huge compliment that Norwich want to keep me and I respect the decision to turn Fulham down,'

'It's my dream to play in the Premier League and I really want to achieve that ambition. But if Norwich aren't happy to sell then they were quite entitled to say 'no' to Fulham."

I guess we`ll never know if he was capable of making the leap into the top-flight wearing a Fulham shirt.
