Fulham - Kamara Closes in On A Comeback!

Earlier this week we ran an article that gave the impression that Diomansy Kamara may well be back in first team action sooner than expected.

We`ll, according to the news flooding the internet today we were not far wrong.

It transpires that Kamara is now back in full training and his return has delighted Roy Hodgson who has had this to say,

'Kamara has really been a revelation in the few days of training."

'After training on his own or with the sports science people to recover from his knee injury, all of a sudden he's back in training and it's another player for us.'

'I regard that as a tremendous bonus and it's in that area that I was anxious to find cover. I wanted another front player at the club and I was worried that Kamara wouldn't feature too much.'

'But from what I've seen so far, that was an unnecessary fear because it looks like he's going to be back in with us and we'll have a fourth front player.'

So it augers well for both club and player but Roy went on to give us a further insight into what he believes it`ll mean for Fulham commenting,

'His pace is there and his enthusiasm is there and if I was to start him in a game, he could surely do it."

But before we all get carried away, a little note of caution from Roy,

'The risk would be that after 20 minutes at that level he'd be blowing and finding life hard."

'We've got to build up his match fitness. In training he's fine, he flies around and comes off the pitch with a sweat like everyone else."

'But it's going to take him a little bit of time to get that match fitness and ideally we'd like to try and get him in a couple of reserve team matches first.'

So it shouldn`t be too long now before Kamara runs out at Craven Cottage in front of 25,000 supporters.

Bring it on!

Still not sold on him as a goal scorer in the top flight, but here's hoping that he gets match fit and proves me wrong, soon!
Samboney
I look forward to his return!! he was vital last season.
KBFulham
made an important contribution at City though didn't he - without that we'd not be here now!
Al Billy
all too true, can't wait to see him enter the fray again... and i'm sure it'll be all too soon before i'm overly critical of him as i am with all our players now...
woodysweats
lol totally agree woody. Who would you drop though given the choice?

Wen he cumms bak play a 4-3-3 formation with Kamara, Zamora and AJ up front and leave Nevland on da bench fr a replacment sub. In midfield play with 3 CM's with Murphey, Dacourt and Dempey in the middle.

Hmm, I'd keep the 442 formation that has worked well for us this year. I'd like to see Kamara upfront working alongside Johnson or coming off the bench for Zamora.
Jossmyth
could be like a new start for him like with bullard. that injury ignited his career! Kamara to join hull for 20million in the summer?!

20mill - only city would pay that!
