Fulham Striker to go Scandinavian?

Wonders never cease!

I have to admit that when we signed Eddie Johnson I was a little puzzled.

Watching his displays, from afar, down in South Wales, with Cardiff (mostly for the reserves) has given further creedence to my original belief that he is (was) vastly over-rated.

Even the editorial team at Vital Cardiff have long given up hope on the lad but, then again, he must have something going for him because those Swedish giants, Malmo, are keen to sign the lad.

Indeed th einternet has provided soem quotes from a Malmo club official, Hasse Borg, who when questioned about his clubs interest in the striker, remarked,

"Where have you got that from? It may well happen that I have heard that name"

Further evidence that a deal could eventually go through comes from Johnson`s agent, Richard Motzkin, who has commented,

"It is true that I have been in Malmo, but I have no further comments."

Now, what did we pay for him?

Any chance of getting it all back?

He did score back to back goals for us in the reserves? We can only get rid if you recall him....please do!

as an american, i was excited that he was coming to the cottage. he had some flashes of potential internationally, but he turned out to be so lazy, or that's how it appeared... you can see dempsey's desire to win, with eddie, it's not as obvious... i won't cry if we ship him to sweden...

American, also. I love to see Americans getting a shot in the England, but I was baffled when they signed him. At best, he was a streaky scorer in MLS and relatively ineffective internationally. I knew the English game was too fast for him. If he's really interested in succeeding England, he needs to drop down to League One and work his way up. I predict he'll be back in MLS within 2 years.
