Fulham - Delph is not Coming!

For those of us keen to see a little investment in some classy youth at Craven cottage, Roy Hodgson has driven a dagger through our hearts.

Following the 3-1 win over Portsmouth Roy categorically denied that Fulham were interested in signing the Leeds United teenage sensation, Fabien Delph, when he remarked,

"We`re not looking for 19 year-olds who may be good players some time in the future."

"We need people who are experienced enough to handle anything, like being behind away from home and chasing the game or clinging on to a lead."

"We need experience and quality at this level without two months preparation. Whoever comes in has got to be ready to do a job straight away."

Whilst the words are probably not want we wanted to hear, they do have more than a degree of truth about them and in Roy we trust!

Those words are very true!! we should wait until summer to sign youngsters.....but i really want delph and it is disapointing to hear that....but i'm sure roy knows what he is doing and it'll be good in the long run! :D

if we can get delph in the summer, i'd be all for it. remember that this season might still turn into a fight for survival... i wouldn't mind having some experience in that case.
