Fulham - Andreasen Goes!

According to reports filtering through, s we reported yesterday, Leon Andreasen has now joined the German side, Hannover.

After just eighteen appearances, the Dane has, as Roy Hodgson confirms below, returned to Germany for family reasons,

'Leon Andreasen wants to go back to the Bundesliga for family reasons and we've had a good offer from Hannover."

'Letting him go is the right thing to do but it leaves a gap in the squad.'

Here at Vital Fulham we`d like to wish him well but we`d also love to know how much we received from the German side.

Shame, would have used him over Etuhu any day of the week, just hope that we find a suitable replacement as this leaves our central midfield very thin. In all honesty id say if we carry on the way we are goin and Murphy gets injured - we are done for! This had better be for 'family reasons' and not just him throwing a hissy for not being first choice

When I watched Hodgson's transfer talk video on the homepage he did suggest that Andreasen was not happy about his lack of first team chances. This is a major loss, he was a good signing and I thought he'd get the nod in the centre of midfield alongside Murphy in front of Etuhu. Daz is correct, if we lose Murphy to injury we'll be in trouble. Hopefully young Barnes will handle his move well to strength centre midfield.

Barnes is still getting to full match fitness stage! Don't bank on him yet!

just as long as hodgson has another good midfielder other than barnes coming in....i'm not too sad to see him go...although he is a very good player

^^Hopefully Ledley, he can play attacking and left midfield!

I hope we don't regret this move.
