Fulham Target Harper!

With Fabien Delph on the transfer radar as Roy Hodgson seeks to plug the gap left by Jimmy Bullard, the Sunday Mirror is implying that another midfield target is a more realistic acquisition.

It`s being said that Fulham are preparing a £7 million bid for the Reading midfielder, James Harper.

Harper, who is seen as influential in Reading`s plans to get back into the Premier League has only a year left on his contract and that Reading may be tempted to sell now rather than lose him for considerably less later on.

At twenty-eight years of age, Harper is a box to box player who is capable of scoring a few goals as well, the Sunday tabloid is implying that he`d be the perfect foil for Danny Murphy.

He's a very handy player but I'd prefer someone with a little more Premiership experience and of a higher standard
